Jewellery naturally changes with wear. A little care will help preserve the colour, lustre and finish of your favourite pieces for longer.
Last on, first off
Apply perfume, skincare and hairspray before putting on your jewellery. Remove it before sleeping, showering, swimming, exercising or doing housework.
Store with care
Keep pieces separately in a soft pouch or jewellery box, in a cool and dry place. Avoid the bathroom, where humidity can speed up tarnishing.
Clean gently
After wearing, wipe jewellery with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive products, harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners.

Can I shower, swim or exercise in my jewellery?
We recommend removing all jewellery first. Water, chlorine, salt, sweat and soap can affect plated finishes, speed up oxidation and dull pearls or stones.
How should I care for gold-plated and gold vermeil jewellery?
Keep plated pieces away from water, perfume, lotions, sanitiser and household chemicals. Wipe gently after wear and store separately. Plated finishes naturally change and may gradually wear over time. Avoid vigorous polishing, which can remove the gold layer.
Why has my sterling silver become darker?
Tarnishing is a natural reaction between silver and its environment, not a sign of poor quality. Gently polish plain sterling silver with a suitable silver cloth. Do not use it on gold-plated surfaces, pearls or delicate stones.
How do I care for pearls and mother-of-pearl?
Keep them away from perfume, cosmetics and cleaning products. Wipe gently after wear and, when needed, use a soft cloth that is only slightly damp. Let them dry fully and store separately from harder jewellery that could scratch them.
How should I care for natural stones, enamel and glass?
Avoid knocks, hard surfaces, harsh chemicals and sudden temperature changes. Clean gently with a soft cloth. Natural stones and pearls may vary in colour, shape and texture; these differences are part of their character.
Can I use jewellery cleaner?
Only when it is clearly suitable for the material. Harsh liquids and ultrasonic cleaners can damage plating, pearls, mother-of-pearl, enamel and some stones. When in doubt, a soft cloth is safest.
